Blu-Ray Sales: 'Avatar' dominates, of course
If you're still in doubt about whether Americans have embraced the Blu-Ray format, you can stop your wondering. Blu-Ray sales have been steadily increasing throughout the year, and heading into this Christmas season, sales are more solid than ever. Avatar's special edition release topped the chart with an estimated 650,000 copies sold, and that's after the millions of copies it's already moved. It's not totally surprising—geeky sci-fi blockbusters tend to sell very well on Blu-Ray as techies embrace new technology readily.
